We welcome your imaginations and your ideas.
Jam Session is a two day
event taking place April 22nd and 23rd, 2011, celebrating and showcasing the richness, diversity, and quality of artists associated
with the College of Wooster, including students (majors and non-majors), faculty, staff, contractors, alumni, and community
members.
The Jam Session was envisioned and conceived by James Levin, director of
the The Center for Entrepreneurship at the College of Wooster, and founding director of the Cleveland Public Theater and the
Ingenuity Festival in Cleveland (see www.ingenuitycleveland.org). The producer of the Jam Session is Alyssa Lee Wilmot, visiting professor
of dance at The College of Wooster, and co-founder/producer of the POW!ACTION Art Festival in San Francisco, CA and group A, a multimedia performance company.
Featured artists will be selected by the Jam Session curatorial committee and awarded a stipend based
on artistic need to assist with production costs.
We very much look for site
specific performances, exhibits and installations that can easily take place at this unconventional venue.
